Step into the liminal space of a Wiccan circle...
We will learn how to create Sacred Space, connect to and invoke the elements and find corresponding features. We will look at the Wheel of the Year and how to celebrate it and ask the fundamental question of what Magick truly is. Finally we will look at Covens, it's structure and dynamics, advantages and potential disadvantages and why this spiritual path is both a challenge and a great blessing.
Every session will be like a ritual in it's own right, and will give you a sense of what each section of a ritual means. Wiccans are notoriously secretive and at this stage we will not tell you much more but rather give you the infamous passwords.

​This 5- week course is designed for people with an interest in the theory and practice of what is known as “The Craft” in the hope that it will help participants decide if this is something that resonates within them. We also hope this will help to promote a better understanding of Wicca within the wider community for people who are just curious. Starting with an explanation of what witchcraft is and what witches do, as the course progresses it becomes more experiential, to give you a feeling of the energies involved, giving a more holistic understanding. While the course is open to people of all ages, sex and nationalities 18 years old and above, we only have room for a very limited number of people and as it has been oversubscribed in the past we ask you to complete a short questionnaire to help us decide who we can accept. If you are interested then please complete it and send it off to us. No payment is required until you are accepted on the course.
Practical Matters
'What Witches Do' is run by two experienced Wiccan High Priestesses on a non-profit basis.
The 5 session course starts on Wednesday 5th November and continues every Wednesday for the following four weeks. The location is Hackney London N16 6SJ - close to a tube and it runs from 7pm - 9.pm, including a 10 minute break. The total cost of the course is £30 paid for in advance.
